Telcoin

• Telcoin builds mobile remittance and financial services distributed through telecom partnerships.

• It targets migrant workers sending money home, where fees are highest and alternatives worst.

• TEL is the network token.

• Very large supply measured in the tens of billions.

• Used for network fees, staking and validator participation.

Pros:

• Remittance fees for migrant corridors remain punitive, so the problem is real and large.

• Telecom distribution reaches users who will never download a crypto wallet.

• Has pursued formal banking licensing rather than operating around regulation.

Cons:

• Regulatory licensing across remittance corridors is slow, expensive and jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction.

• Telecom partnerships take years to convert into transaction volume.

• Operating since 2017 with adoption well below original projections.

• Exposure to crypto remittance with a regulated approach.

• The addressable market is genuinely large.

• Weigh the long history of slower-than-projected delivery.

• Distribution through mobile network operators rather than app stores, reaching remittance senders who do not use crypto applications.

• Migrant remittance fees routinely exceed five per cent, taking a large share of money sent to low-income households.

• Blockchain settlement could cut that substantially, if the regulated on and off ramps exist at both ends.

• Founded by Paul Neuner and Claude Eguienta.

• Operates through Telcoin Holdings with regulated banking subsidiaries.

• TEL was sold through an ICO in 2017.

• Licensing across remittance corridors is slow and costly.

• Adoption has consistently lagged projections over many years.

• Very large token supply.

• Competition from established remittance operators and stablecoin rails.
