Gravity

• Gravity is a Layer 1 chain from the Galxe team, focused on cross-chain coordination and payments.

• G is the utility token for both Gravity and the Galxe ecosystem, which includes a large campaign and quest platform.

• It uses restaking-derived security alongside its own consensus.

• G replaced the earlier GAL token through conversion.

• Used for gas, governance and payments across both ecosystems.

• Restaking contributes to network security.

Pros:

• Inherits a large existing user base from Galxe's campaign platform.

• Two ecosystems sharing one token rather than a standalone chain seeking users.

• Established revenue from the Galxe platform independent of chain activity.

Cons:

• Token conversion from GAL introduced discontinuity for existing holders.

• Campaign and quest platforms are heavily dependent on airdrop cycles.

• Another general-purpose Layer 1 in an oversupplied category.

• Exposure to a chain with a pre-existing user base rather than one bootstrapping from zero.

• Galxe platform revenue is real and separate from chain speculation.

• Weigh dependence on airdrop campaign activity.

• A chain launched with an established user base already engaged through the Galxe campaign platform.

• New chains have no users, and acquiring them is the hardest part of launching.

• Building the chain under an existing platform inverts the usual order.

• Founded by Charles Wayn and Harry Zhang, operating as Galxe.

• Backed by Multicoin Capital, Dragonfly and HashKey.

• GAL was distributed through earlier sales and ecosystem programmes; G entered circulation through conversion.

• Campaign platform activity tracks airdrop cycles, which are volatile.

• Token conversion can strand holders who do not act.

• Oversupplied Layer 1 market.

• Restaking dependency introduces inherited risk.
