Arcium

• Arcium is a confidential computing network that runs computations on encrypted data across distributed nodes.

• Applications can process sensitive inputs without any node seeing the underlying data.

• ARX is used for staking, governance and paying for confidential computation.

• Fixed supply of 1 billion ARX with no inflation; about 21% unlocked at the June 2026 launch and the rest vests over roughly four and a half years.

• Staked by nodes providing computation capacity.

Pros:

• Confidential computing has applications across DeFi, AI and healthcare.

• Multi-party computation is more practical than fully homomorphic encryption for many workloads.

• Built with Solana ecosystem support, giving it a distribution channel.

Cons:

• Security rests on nodes not colluding, not on cryptographic impossibility.

• Confidential computing demand is smaller than the infrastructure being built for it.

• Several projects target the same problem with different tradeoffs.

• Exposure to confidential computing with a practical performance profile.

• Solana ecosystem support provides distribution.

• Weigh the non-collusion assumption and the competitive density.

• Multi-party computation across independent nodes, giving practical confidential computing without homomorphic encryption's overhead.

• Any computation on private data requires decrypting it somewhere, which is where privacy fails.

• Splitting the computation so no node sees the whole input removes that point of exposure.

• Founded by Yannik Schrade and Nicolas Schapeler.

• Backed by Greenfield Capital, Longhash and Solana ecosystem investors.

• Arcium held a public community round on CoinList, fully unlocked at launch, alongside retroactive grants and airdrops at its June 2026 token launch.

• Node collusion defeats the privacy guarantee.

• Confidential computing demand is limited relative to supply.

• Competition from other privacy computing approaches.

• Early stage with limited production usage.
